More than a spring photoshoot or a Mother’s Day mini, Lamb & Bloom was designed for sentimental mothers who feel how quickly these seasons are passing.
It’s for the ones who want to pause, just for a moment, before summer sweeps in with its full calendar of sports, vacations, and busy days. This experience was created to be something slower, softer, and more intentional. It was created to become a precious, memory-filled morning that your children will remember, and you will treasure for decades.
Lamb & Bloom is a thoughtfully curated spring gathering, layered with details, lamb snuggles, soft florals, wardrobe and hair assistance, and space to simply be together.
There’s often a moment, right before booking something like this, where hesitation quietly sets in.
Maybe when things slow down…

But life with little ones rarely slows in the way we imagine it will. I catch myself thinking it all the time. It’s going so fast. My baby is already walking, and I know those shaky steps will soon become confident strides. Her soft, chunky legs will lean out as she runs through the summer. And the realization that this is already our fifth summer with my wild boy feels almost too heavy to sit in for too long.
There’s always the illusion of a slower time down the road, after we get through one more busy week. Or when we enter a new phase. But the truth is, the moments we tend to treasure most later on are often the ones that felt the most ordinary at the time. Not the perfect moments, but the ones that are etched into our hearts.
Lamb & Bloom wasn’t created for a perfectly calm season. It was created to gently hold onto the one you’re already in.
I don’t feel fully like myself right now.
This one feels especially understandable.
After a year of only sleeping through the night a handful of times, and walking through more brain fog and exhaustion than I knew was possible, I feel like I’m just beginning to reemerge this spring. Slowly learning who I am again in this version of motherhood and life.
So many mothers quietly wait until they feel more like themselves again. I’ve caught myself saying it. I just want to be a little more rested, a little more confident, a little more ready. And while I personally relate, I have to tell you… your children don’t see any of that.
They see you as you are right now. They love the warmth of your smile and how your eyes light up when you look at them. They might not be able to say it but they crave your snuggles, the way you hold them close, the way your heartbeat sounds like a song written just for them, and the way you are their whole world. One day, these photos won’t be about how you looked.
They’ll be about how it felt to be held by you in this season.
I have no idea what we would wear.
You’re not alone in that and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
For Lamb & Bloom, I’ve created a small, curated wardrobe for both mothers and children, chosen specifically to photograph beautifully within the space. These outfits have been tested already and have been chosen for their soft textures, gentle tones, and the way that they move well and feel comfortable.
You’re always welcome to bring your own clothing, and I’ll be sharing styling inspiration as we get closer. But if the thought of planning outfits feels overwhelming, it can be completely taken off your plate.
For families who book during the early window, I’ll even be inviting you into the final wardrobe selections so the pieces feel personal to you.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
This is one of the most common concerns and one you truly don’t need to carry. These sessions are not built around perfect behavior or forced smiles. Children need space to warm up, to observe, to move, to cuddle, to be curious. Some of the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments…
a glance, a small expression, the way they reach for you.
Nothing forced.
Nothing rushed.
What if my husband doesn’t want to come?
He doesn’t have to, but he is always welcome.
This experience is designed to feel supportive and relaxed. There will be a small team present to help with little ones, offer gentle hair touch-ups, and create a calm flow throughout the session.
Your husband is welcome to join for a few images, be part of the full session, or simply come along and observe.
The same goes for grandparents. They are welcome to be present and participate, even though larger extended family portraits beyond grandparents aren’t part of this particular offering.
Where are the lambs coming from?
These sweet little ones are raised by my friend Natalie at Sweet Breeze Acres, a working farm in Mason, Michigan.
She raises Shetland sheep and has graciously opened her farm to host this experience. Natalie will be present throughout the day as our dedicated animal handler, thoughtfully rotating the lambs so they remain calm, cared for, and close to their mamas.
It’s a setting that feels both natural and relaxed, perfectly aligned with the heart behind Lamb & Bloom.
If you’re still unsure, that’s okay.
You don’t have to rush into anything.
But if something in you feels drawn to this and you have questions, please reach out.
Early booking has begun for my email list, and I would be happy to share the private booking link if you’d like to take a closer look.
These seasons pass so softly.
And sometimes the most meaningful things we do
are the ones that help us hold onto them,
just a little longer.
